Change is like filling a bucket, one drop at the time

Change is trying to get a bucket on an edge out of balance by filling it with water, one drop at the time.

If your campaign happens to be the drop that makes the bucket tumble, then it feels like you’ve made the difference.

If your campaign happened to be the drop before that, you might think you haven’t made any difference at all.

Yet your campaign was just as important as the one that actually made the bucket tilt and tumble.

It’s not the result that matters, it’s the direction you choose, it’s the faith you have.

It’s the way you lead and persist that makes the real difference.

PS: I haven’t read Malcolm Gladwell’s book The Tipping Point, but something tells me that it might be connected to this post. 🙂
